PRESENTERS: OFFICER LAURIE REYES AND OFFICER TARA BOND, MONTGOMERY COUNTY POLICE, AUTISM/INTELLECTUAL, DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES, ALZHEIMER’S AND DEMENTIA OUTREACH UNIT
Participants are invited to attend the 1-hour webinar on April 12, 2021 at 6:30pm and then practice being pulled over with Montgomery County Police on April 13, 2021.
*You can register for the webinar only, but you MUST participate in the webinar to attend the practice session. You must attend BOTH to receive a $25 gas gift card.
Participants will receive:
• A printed copy of “PFA Tips: What to Do During a Traffic Stop”
• An envelope which lists the steps to follow on one side, and tips about autism for the officer on the other side. The envelope can be used to hold the person’s registration card, insurance card, and a copy of the PFA Tips article.
• A laminated card (with clips) to attach to the driver’s visor with the top five instructions of what the driver needs to remember to do during the traffic stop
• An Autism disclosure card
The webinar and practice session are both free to attend, but registration is required.
