Meet the Panelists

Vincent P. Culotta, ’81 Psychology, is the founder and president of NeuroBehavioral Associates, a Maryland-based neuropsychology practice serving children, adolescents, and adults with brain-based and neurodevelopmental disorders. Prior to founding NeuroBehavioral Associates, Vince held clinical and administrative positions with various medical, rehabilitation, and private facilities, including an appointment as director of neuropsychology, Neurosurgery Division, of the University of Maryland’s Shock Trauma Center. He received his doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Memphis. At Penn State, Vince helped launch the college’s Liberal Arts Alumni Mentor Program through which he continues to mentor students, and he also provides a summer internship for psychology majors. Vince has served on the Alumni Society Board and the Career Enrichment Network Task Force. He and his wife, Cheryl, established a study abroad endowment in the college. They have two daughters — their oldest is a Penn State graduate and their youngest is a sophomore at Penn State.

Wendy Stoner, ’89 Labor and Industrial Relations and Business, is the former director for emerging talent development in the Office of Human Resource Management for the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) in Washington, D.C. She currently serves as the Chief of Staff in GSA’s Office of Travel, Transportation, and Logistics, responsible for human capital initiatives and the general management of the organization. Prior positions at GSA included special assistant to the chief knowledge officer, director of the financial management specialist program, and chief of staff to the chief financial officer. She has more than 20 years of experience with GSA and has longstanding expertise in talent acquisition, talent management, training, and leadership development. Her volunteer experience includes serving as chair of the Career Services Advisory Council at the University of Richmond and as a board member for the 2015 NextGen Government Training Summit. She is also a mentor for the Liberal Arts Alumni Mentor Program.

James Tierney is an assistant teaching professor of economics at Penn State University Park. He joined the Penn State faculty in 2014 after serving as lecturer of economics and finance at the State University of New York, College at Plattsburgh. James holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of California at Irvine and two bachelor’s degrees from Western New England College. He has authored or co-authored articles for the Journal of Economics Education—where he serves as a referee and advisory board member—the Journal of Economics and Finance Education, and other journals. James was a contributor to The Ultimate Guide to Teaching Macroeconomics, published in 2014 by Norton & Company. James is a member of the State College community, serving as a board member at 3 Dots Downtown and one of the founding members of Happy Valley Improv. He has given dozens of presentations and has been an invited speaker at conferences all over the country.
