Meghan Jorgenson Psy.D.

About

Dr. Meghan Jorgenson is a licensed clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist. She provides comprehensive evaluations for children, teens, and adults, helping families understand concerns such as ADHD, learning differences, autism spectrum disorder, and other neurological or developmental challenges. Dr. Jorgenson is passionate about identifying each individual’s strengths and collaborating with schools and treatment teams to create practical, effective supports.

Before joining NeuroBehavioral Associates, Dr. Jorgenson worked in private practice and academic medical settings in New York and Pennsylvania, including the Child Study Center at NYU Langone Health, where she also taught and supervised future neuropsychologists. She earned her doctorate in clinical psychology at Widener University and is licensed in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New York.

Dr. Jorgenson lives in Baltimore County with her husband and two young daughters. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family and close friends. She enjoys being outside, running, spending time in Bethany Beach, and traveling and exploring new places.

Assessment's Content

Each evaluation is tailored to the individual, but typically explores several key areas of brain functioning through structured tasks, interviews, and standardized testing.

Content covered in our comprehensive assessment:
Cognitive and Intellectual Functioning

Assesses overall thinking skills like reasoning, problem-solving, and how information is processed.

Language and Communication

Looks at both receptive (understanding) and expressive (speaking, writing) language abilities.

Attention and Executive Functioning

Evaluates focus, impulse control, organization, and flexible thinking—skills often affected in ADHD.

Visual-Spatial and Motor Skills

Evaluates the ability to perceive, interpret, and organize visual information, as well as fine motor coordination.

Memory and Learning

Assesses short-term, long-term, and working memory capabilities (e.g., how well someone can retain, retrieve, and use new information).

Adaptive Functioning

Measures emotional regulation, social interaction, coping skills, and how well someone manages daily responsibilities.

Our team also provides Autism only assessments geared toward early diagnosis and intervention of toddlers and preschoolers with suspected Autism Spectrum Disorder.  Our Autism only assessments can be scheduled within weeks and our team provides a rapid turnaround on reports generally less than 10 days.
