On behalf of all of the volunteers of Decoding Dyslexia Maryland, we are so Grateful for all of your Kindness, Generosity, and Support for Dyslexia Advocacy Day 2020!

As you know, Thanks to your Support, we were able to bring people together to raise dyslexia awareness and advocate for the Ready to Read Act, SB 734 which was signed by Governor Hogan on May 13, 2019!

This year, we are advocating for a new bill  HB 718 and SB 575 to create a Reading and Dyslexia Handbook.

Please share the attached flyers depicting the Agenda for Dyslexia Advocacy Day 2020 with your families by e-mail, social media,  printing hard copies, and any other way you can think of.  The more people we can have attend, the more awareness we can raise!

Please remember to also bring your students (See flyer).  Not only will they get to participate in a Youth Advocacy Session, but they will get to present their legislators with a special project they will be creating! Students can earn Community Service Hours too (Please bring your own form for us to sign).  The students gain confidence advocating for themselves when they share their stories with legislators and the legislators love hearing from them!

Attached are 4 flyers depicting:
