PRACTITIONER CONFERENCE

In Partnership with
The Dyslexia Foundation’s
Extraordinary Brain Series

Bermuda College

Saturday. June 11th, 2022

The conference is focused on executive functions or the mental processes and cognitive abilities (such as working memory, impulse control, and flexible reasoning) that control the skills (such as organizing tasks, remembering details, managing time, and solving problems) needed for success in school. The conference will cover the neurological basis of executive functions, how to assess, the relationship between executive functions and reading, and writing, and how executive functions help children “do school”. The morning sessions are focused on the latest scientific studies in neurobiology, assessment, and intervention as a basis for understanding current practices for assessment and intervention. These discussions will be centered on school-age students.
